I want to keep my blog readers aware of the different opportunities that are available in the direct sales industry.


Jessica shared her Younique story and why she is glad that she found this opportunity for her family.


Here is her interview:


How long have you been with Younique?


About a month now


What was it about Younique that enticed you and made you want to join?


I just loved the positive vibe my team leader had! She was always so excited, helpful and her success was amazing! I always loved being around positive people and I wanted the same success for myself so when I decide to have children I can stay home with them. So, I joined and it’s been the best decision I have ever made! (Other than marrying my husband, of course ;))


What are your daily routines and how many people do you approach each day?


I try and take my work everywhere. Just the other day I was sitting at Chuck E Cheese with my family working on my laptop. I try to connect and talk to people as often as I can. Just having a catalog out can generate interest and have people stop and talk to you. I’m not one to approach strangers on my own due to not wanting to seem to pushy, that’s not a good thing to show. So, I make it to where customers come to me and that’s been working very well! (I love that Jessica uses attraction marketing in her business!)


What has been your biggest aha moment in the business?


My biggest aha moment would be what we call “the art of non selling”. People really don’t want to be sold to. Just think of those mall clerks that always come after you with their product! I always pretend I’m on my phone haha. What I’ve learned is to just share the product myself. I love the product so I take photos of myself using them and people are drawn to that. They start asking questions and want to know how to do the same. I’ve made more sales and booked more parties this way.


Who/What is your why?


Myself really, I want to be able to be a stay at home mom and contribute to the finances. That and I LOVE going to Disney and traveling. Thanks to Younique, my husband and I are actually going to stay on the property this year in a hotel with monorail access which is huge and not something I’d ever get to do. The fact that I can give that to myself and my family without going into debt is such a wonderful feeling! (I agree!)


What tool do you use that makes the business simple and duplicatable for your team?


The only real tool is social media, you need to be active and network with new people always. You need to be driven, set your goals and make them happen. So really the main tool is yourself. If you want something bad enough, you’ll make it happen.


What type of training is available?


There is a 5 week weekly course training in our back office. You can complete them whenever you want. There are educational videos on the site as well and pre-recorded training calls which were full of awesome information and tips! Also, your team! You know you can ask anything and they’re there for you with 100% support. Even girls that aren’t on my team give me tips and help. We’re more of a community than a competition and it’s just amazing energy!
