Creative Visualization Techniques

Creative visualization is a simple and easy way to feel into your desires, dreams and wishes.  These creative visualization techniques will show you how.

Practice is the most important part of using creative visualization.  Don’t get discouraged and keep trying.

We utilize all of our senses when performing creative visualization.

For example, what if you wanted to go surfing in the Bahamas?

You would want to remember that all of your senses need to be fully engaged during the creative visualization process.

Now, you may want to consider a different visualization and that’s okay!

I just want to give you an idea of the steps you need to take to get you up and running quickly.

Getting Started

The first thing you’ll do is close your eyes and visualize yourself on the surfboard and riding a huge wave (the thing you’ll love the most about going surfing – and the ultimate goal).

See yourself picking up your surfboard on the beach, then placing the board in the water and paddling out into the ocean. Now you’re floating further out towards the waves as they crash against your body.

Notice how the surfboard feels beneath you. I want you to feel the water lapping against you.

Bring in your Senses

Visualize taking a deep breath, and smelling the the salt of the ocean. Is it spring? Summer? Is there anything else you can smell? The scent of the wax on the surfboard is similar to a mix of bees wax and coconut. Can you smell that?

As you paddle out a huge wave comes towards you. Feel the wind as it moves over your face.  You stand up as the wave crests and you ride forward into it. Look around at what’s around you as you surf. See the ocean as it is going by faster, and hear the wind rushing past. Listen to the sound of the ocean.

The shore is coming closer now. Feel the descent as you push closer back to the shore now. As the surfboard comes to a stop, stand up and feel the joy from finishing your surf.  Do you feel rejuvenated after accomplishing your dream? Are you excited?

Coming Out of Visualization Mode

As you come out of your visualization, give yourself some time to transition from a relaxed, restful state, to a fully lucid and awake state. Don’t jar yourself awake, rather, make it a pleasant transition back to the “real” world.

Practice creative visualization techniques two or three times a day, for about 15 minutes each time. First thing upon waking, and right before you fall asleep are great times to practice, and do a session during the day to recharge and refocus yourself!

Following these tips will help you transition into creative visualization mode effortlessly.
