How long have you been with Younique?

About a month now

What was it about Younique that enticed you and made you want to join?

I just loved the positive vibe my team leader had! She was always so excited, helpful and her success was amazing! I always loved being around positive people and I wanted the same success for myself so when I decide to have children I can stay home with them. So, I joined and it’s been the best decision I have ever made! (Other than marrying my husband, of course ;))

What are your daily routines and how many people do you approach each day?

I try and take my work everywhere. Just the other day I was sitting at Chuck E Cheese with my family working on my laptop. I try to connect and talk to people as often as I can. Just having a catalog out can generate interest and have people stop and talk to you. I’m not one to approach strangers on my own due to not wanting to seem to pushy, that’s not a good thing to show. So, I make it to where customers come to me and that’s been working very well! (I love that Jessica uses attraction marketing in her business!)

What has been your biggest aha moment in the business?

My biggest aha moment would be what we call “the art of non selling”. People really don’t want to be sold to. Just think of those mall clerks that always come after you with their product! I always pretend I’m on my phone haha. What I’ve learned is to just share the product myself. I love the product so I take photos of myself using them and people are drawn to that. They start asking questions and want to know how to do the same. I’ve made more sales and booked more parties this way.

Who/What is your why?

Myself really, I want to be able to be a stay at home mom and contribute to the finances. That and I LOVE going to Disney and traveling. Thanks to Younique, my husband and I are actually going to stay on the property this year in a hotel with monorail access which is huge and not something I’d ever get to do. The fact that I can give that to myself and my family without going into debt is such a wonderful feeling! (I agree!)

What tool do you use that makes the business simple and duplicatable for your team?

The only real tool is social media, you need to be active and network with new people always. You need to be driven, set your goals and make them happen. So really the main tool is yourself. If you want something bad enough, you’ll make it happen.

What type of training is available?

There is a 5 week weekly course training in our back office. You can complete them whenever you want. There are educational videos on the site as well and pre-recorded training calls which were full of awesome information and tips! Also, your team! You know you can ask anything and they’re there for you with 100% support. Even girls that aren’t on my team give me tips and help. We’re more of a community than a competition and it’s just amazing energy!

Law of Attraction for Your Business

Confusion is common when you first begin using the Law of Attraction for your business.  Most people want to know what it is and how it can work for them.

Essentially, the Law of Attraction is a universal law that states that what you think about is what your life will be about.

If you are someone who has negative thoughts, then you will have negative incidences happen in your life and business.

If you live your life with positive thoughts, you are going to have positive outcomes happening in both your business and life.

There are a variety of different ways that you can use the Law of Attraction.

Examples of these are vision boards, feeling what you want, seeing what you want (visualizing), and practicing having gratitude.

If you are ready to go big, then using the Law of Attraction for your business is worth it.

These tips will set you on the right path:

Create a Vision Board

When I began to practice the Law of Attraction for my Business, the first thing I did was create a vision board.

Having a visual representation of what you want in your life is very powerful.

Getting started is easy! All you need to do is take pictures of the what you want in your life and then add them to your vision board.

You will be amazed when things you put on your vision board start appearing in your life.

Some examples of pictures you can add are the type of car you want to drive, a house you might like to live in and anything else you would like to see in your life.

Reprogram your Mindset

Reprogramming your mindset will change your life.

I know this for a fact because it happened to me.

Do you want more money? Then see yourself with more money.

Do you want a new car? See yourself having and driving that new car.

Feed your subconscious mind everything that you want in your life.

If you don’t feel worthy of having everything you want in your life and business, you will struggle to reach the level of success you want.

Live life right now like you have already reached your goals.

Everything will fall into place just as it needs to.

Start a Gratitude Journal

We get busy in life. It can be easy to forget to be happy about what we do have.

This happens most often when we get stuck on what we don’t have.

Be grateful for everything in your life. Writing a gratitude journal can help you with keeping this mindset.

Write 5 things you are grateful for each day in your journal.

You can do it anytime you like. I prefer to write in my gratitude journal first thing in the morning.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful feelings we can have as humans.

As you are more grateful, you will be blown away by how quickly the Law of Attraction will begin responding to you.

See what you Want

While visualizing is a great help when you are practicing the Law of Attraction, it isn’t enough all by itself.

Go back to when you were a child and daydream!

Get lost in a daydream about what it is you want. See yourself having your dream come true.

Feel what it will feel like when it happens.

Capture that feeling of joy.

If you see it and you feel it, you can achieve it.

This is the basis of the Law of Attraction.

Feel those Changes

Now that you can see what it is that you want, it’s time for you to feel what you want.

Our feelings connect everything together when it comes to the Law of Attraction.

Sometimes I think this is where some of us get stuck.

See what you want, and while experiencing seeing, feel how it will feel to reach your goals.

How will it feel when you don’t have to worry about money?

What will it feel like to have complete freedom?

Imagine that your wish has already come true and amplify how it will feel when it happens.

Final Thoughts

If your friends and family try to give you a hard time about believing in the Law of Attraction, brush it off.

The vision board you create can be kept private.

Place it in your room or office. As long as you have it somewhere that you can spend a minute or two each day seeing and feeling the life you want to have.

I know that the Law of Attraction works because it has worked for me.

Countless others have use the Law of Attraction to reach the goals they set for themselves.

I think we would both agree that it can’t hurt to give it a try.

The steps above, if nothing else, will put you into a grateful and positive state of mind which can only benefit you.

Broke Mans Plan Review

I wanted to talk today and share with you my Broke Mans Plan Review.  The Broke Mans’ Plan is a strategy that I followed very closely whenever I first started my work at home business.

I did not have much money available. The Broke Mans Plan allowed me to get started with a small investment.

The plan was created by Rob Fraser who is my mentor in Traffic Monsoon, The Power Lead System and Four Corners Alliance Group.

This plan is very easy to start.  The total investment to is $25.00 for your marketing tools and then a $50.00 Ad Pack from Traffic Monsoon when you can.  If you have to go slowly and buy your ad packs every week or every other week, you are free to do so. As the Ad Packs stack, you will find that you need to invest less and less money to purchase a brand new Ad Pack.

Rob Fraser began his business using this exact strategy.  It has worked very well for me as well.

Phase 1 of the Broke Mans Plan

The goal of Phase 1 is to get you signed up into each of the 3 programs.  My favorite thing about this plan is the fact that you are signing up for two programs that are one time payment plans. (essential if you can’t afford monthly fee’s – hence the broke mans plan name)

Four Corners Alliance – You will want to sign up into the Four Corners Alliance Program.  Four Corners Alliance is a one time payment of $18.00. (Only do this if you don’t already have a business to promote! If you are in a business and you are happy – stay there. That’s perfectly okay. Just add the link to your current business into your back office of Lead Lightning.)

Lead Lightning – Lead Lightning will become your lead generation funnel.  It includes two different capture pages and an autoresponder for a one time payment of $7.00.

Using the Broke Mans Plan, you will advertise your Four Corners link inside of your Lead Lightning Funnel. When you sign up to Lead Lightning, just follow the getting started instructions and insert your link for Four Corners Alliance (or your current company). Contact me if you have questions.

Traffic Monsoon – This is the final program that you will want to sign up for.  Traffic Monsoon is free to join. Traffic Monsoon is a revenue sharing program. It will also serve as our Traffic source. We will be advertising our Lead Lightning link inside of Traffic Monsoon to generate sign ups for our 3 programs.

During the initial phase of this plan, you are setting up 3 different income streams.

Your first goal is to get to 10 Ad Packs inside of Traffic Monsoon. An Ad Pack, with revenue sharing, costs $50.00. It gives you a return on your investment of $5.00.

Essentially, we are killing two birds with one stone. We are generating a revenue via Traffic Monsoon and we are also generating leads.

I wouldn’t post on Facebook about your business yet or even share with your friends and family what you are working on.  It will only cause confusion (most people still have NO CLUE how I make money.) and you may even find those who try to talk you out of success. Just stay quiet right now.

Focus on your Ad Packs and don’t stop moving forward.

Buy Ad Packs as you can until you get to 10. Proceed to Phase 2 when you are at 10 active Ad Packs.

Phase 2 of the Broke Mans Plan

Congrats! You have your 10 Ad Packs and you are ready to move into Phase 2 of the Broke Mans Plan.

At this point, you should have already joined the 3 programs above.

Lead Lightning

Traffic Monsoon

Four Corners Alliance Group

In this phase of the Broke Mans Plan, you should be viewing your 10 Ad’s each and every day to continue building your revenue with Traffic Monsoon.

One thing that is also SUPER important right now is your mindset. You need to keep your eye on the prize. Keep reminding yourself that all of the hard work you are doing right now is going to pay off in the long run.

The main point of this phase is to focus on getting from 10 to 50. Based on the current share, you should be able to get a new Ad Pack every 5 to 6 days. Now, remember that there is no guarantee that this will happen as it is based off the current sharing estimates.

From time to time you may drop back due to the Ad Packs expiring. Don’t let that deter you though! Keep on going and building up those Ad Packs.

I would buy a few Ad Packs anytime that I had extra money. I would use money that I was earning from my job to get ahead in my Ad Packs.

I had a fire lit and I was not stopping no matter what.

This phase of the Broke Mans Plan is where most people give up and quit. Don’t do that! You must stay the course if you want to be successful.

Hitting your 50 Ad Packs means that you are ready for Phase 3. Congrats to you for your hard work and determination.

Let’s move onto the final Phase of the Broke Mans Plan and see what we need to do next.

Phase 3 of the Broke Mans Plan

If you have reached this point of the Broke Mans Plan then I want to give you a big shout out and tell you congratulations. Not everybody has the discipline that it takes to make it this far.

If you are at Phase 3, then you should be a member of these 3 programs.

Power Lead System – 7 Day Free Trial – Upgrade from your Lead Lightning Back Office. You must be a gold member to generate an income off the team members you bring into Power Lead System.

Four Corners

Traffic Monsoon

You should also have 50 Ad Packs in Traffic Monsoon at this point.

The reason you want to have 50 is because now is the point where you want to start buying Traffic.

We also call this the Perpetual Traffic Plan because you are going to really start generating leads and really building your business at this point forward.

Even after paying for your tools and income streams, you should still be able to pull out around $200.00 a week for yourself and $200.00 for Traffic.

I followed this in the exact same format. I started out with these 3 tools and simply had 1 Ad Pack.

I then continued to move forward until I hit Phase 2 with my 10 Active Ad Packs and promoted the Lead Lightning Funnel B with Four Corners as the program I was promoting.

Finally, when I hit 50 active Ad Packs, I moved into Phase 3 which is where I am today.

You can get there too!

This will work for any business that you are in. If you prefer to promote another business versus Four Corners – then that’s ok!

We talked about that a little bit in Phase 1. You don’t have to promote Four Corners. That step is mostly for people who don’t already have a business that they are promoting.

 I would also begin promoting on Facebook, Google +, Pinterest or any other Social Media site that you are working on mastering.

My 2016 Goals – an Update From Me

I had a different plan in mind for today’s blog post.

Honestly, I wanted to write a blog post detailing the Broke Mans Plan.  The Broke Mans Plan is the program that I started working 6 months ago.

My plan is to explain the Broke Mans Plan is detail because I have been having tremendous success.  I found a program that works great for me. It fits perfectly into my lifestyle.

On reflecting on how amazing I am feeling right now, I took a step back and looked at my journey over the last 2 years.

It’s not often that we are able to pick an exact moment in our lives that absolutely changed who we are.  Many people never experience a shift like that.

I can say with absolute certainty that it happened to me.

At this point, you are probably wondering where I am going with this.

I’ll get to the point. I just wanted to share some backstory about how I experienced my Network Marketing breakthrough.

9 Months Ago

I want to go backwards 9 months and share with you my mentality at that time and where I was at.

I had joined It Works the prior year.  I was with them for an entire year.

The Plus Side

• I paid for my auto-ship faithfully each and every month.  I also used the products.


• In addition to that, I bought marketing materials and handed out blitz cards.


• I taught myself how to build a website using WordPress and I blogged daily.


• I began to generate leads using my website and using a strategy that involved giving away free samples to generate leads. It worked VERY well and I had more than enough leads.

The Negatives

• I was encouraged to turn my Facebook page into advertising space.


• I am a huge introvert and have not talked to many of my friends or family for years. I had a very small group of people I talked to. That was limited to about 3 people. (NOT GOOD…!)


• I had to message people I had not spoken to in years. I tried to persuade them to take a look at my business or buy my products. I went about contacting people completely wrong. I burned many bridges. I lost close friends and family due to the approach that I was using.


• There was no training at that time except the basic back office training. Everything that I learned, I learned from reading Network Marketing Pro and Rock your Network Marketing Business. There is a serious lack of really great Network Marketing books available. I’m sorry, but it is a fact. Most leaders/gurus/trainers have never done the things they are teaching. They get paid to market you a product. I lost quite a bit of money looking for someone to teach me the “magic” skills to make me rich.


• I was struggling at that time to keep food on the table. Even though both myself and my fiancee worked full time, there was NEVER enough money to go around. My car was repossessed while I was an It Works distributor and part of this was due to the insane amount of money I invested trying to learn what I needed to know to be successful. Every guru had the answer – for a small fee of $10,000. (Yes, I have been asked to invest $10,000 and even $5,000 just two days ago. Be very careful who you give your money to!)

I failed miserably.

I left It Works after being with them for a year. I had very limited support from my upline and even her upline. I just decided enough was enough. At some point, you have to realize when things just aren’t going right for you.

A Big Shocker..

I don’t blame It Works.

I don’t blame my upline.

The responsibility for failing truly does rest on my shoulders. That being said, though, I was learning a brand new skill for the first time.

If I could go back 9 months and talk to myself – I would say, “Barb, its okay. You are learning something new for the first time. Everything you need to be successful is inside of you. You already possess it. There is no guru in this world who can give you what it is you are looking for at this exact moment.

The truth is, Network Marketing changed me for the better. I learned that I was the type of person who had a determination of pure steel!

It would be utterly impossible to immerse yourself into a subject (like I did) and not learn thousands of different lessons.

Network Marketing truly is a make or break you kind of business.

It broke me.

I was broken into pieces when I made that video 9 months ago. I was lost and I had enough.

The tipping point came for me when Ray Higdon called me out on Social Media. I think that was when I realized that I didn’t want to be the person that I was.

I had severe anxiety. I was afraid to recruit. I was afraid to talk to people.

Network Marketing allowed me to keep pushing myself.

My self-esteem is stronger than ever. There is nothing in this world that I cannot do.

I Made It!

I really and truly made it. I have some big goals coming up for 2016. I want to put that video behind me because that was the old me. I’m not that person anymore.

I have accomplished so much in a short time frame. Really, it’s only been 9 months since I made that video but I have learned everything there is to know about myself.

I created not one, not two but three income steams from home.  My business is automated and works when I sleep. I took the time to learn digital marketing and it has changed my entire life.

The truth is, the old way of Network Marketing is broken. I’m saying that from my heart.

Home Parties? Hotel Meetings? Begging and Chasing Down your Friends and Family?

Those methods belong in the past because they don’t work anymore.

We live in a digital world today and you can connect with your perfect customer right now on: YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Xing .. the list goes on and on.

You can setup a $5.00 to $10.00 a day marketing budget and you never have to call one friend or family member.

These are skills that you can learn as well! Don’t be afraid because it might be a little technical. If this is really a dream of yours, take the time to learn the skills that will make you valuable.

Let Me Just Say

As a final add on to digital marketing – when it comes to Network Marketing – you want to keep the human element. You should be having meetings for your team and getting to know your teammates.

You also have to train them.

I work with my teammates until they feel comfortable and ready to work on their own. Keep the human element in your business.

• I know how to setup Ads on every Social Network


• I learned how to blog and setup a WordPress Website


• I learned how to setup an YouTube channel and post daily videos


• I learned how to create Sales and Capture Pages using Funnels


• I know how to write and publish a Kindle Book


• I can make killer graphics


• I created three separate income streams


• I learned how to use Final Cut Pro

This Years Goals

• I’m going to get the last of the training setup on my website over the next week. My plan is to teach home based business owners how to harness the power of the internet to recruit (with a human element..).


• I want to release a training detailing my free sample strategy and how I used it to generate over 5000 leads (you don’t even need a website..)


• I’m going to finish my team training here on the website


• I’m going to put a blogging training on the website


• I’m going to release a training on running ads on Social Media sites to generate leads


• I will be more visible on Social Media (especially YouTube..)

The author of Money Magic, Deborah Price, tells us that each person identifies with a particular money type.  If  you are someone who will bury your head in the sand and try to avoid your money issues then you would be considered ‘The Innocent”. Deborah Price also mentions several other types.

They are:

“The Warrior”

“The Martyr”

“The Magician”

“The Fool”

“The Victim”

“The Tyrant”

How have you Been Conditioned About Money

Many of the beliefs that we have about money have been passed down to us from our parents, grandparents, society as a whole and our teachers.

Do you feel like the only way you can make money is to work a 9 – 5 job?

Do you feel that money is something that is not easily available?

Do you hold the belief that money is evil?

Are any of these something that you may have struggled with in the past? If you feel that any of these beliefs are present in your life, then it’s possible that you have been conditioned to avoid money.

These types of beliefs can actually cause you to repel money!

Let go of those beliefs. Holding onto them will only hold you back.

Instill some New Positive Money Beliefs

It is best to program some better beliefs into your subconscious to attract money into your life.  These empowered beliefs will allow you to bring money to you instead of driving it away.

The Magician is someone who manifests their very own financial reality and holds onto their own power.

This is the type you want to go for!

Add in the Law of Attraction

I know it is confusing to understand the Law of Attraction because everybody has a different idea about how it works. The Law of Attraction is a very simple law that tells us that what we focus on becomes our reality.

What that means is that if you spend all of your spare time wondering about where your next dollar is going to come from, how your bills and rent are going to get paid and being fearful regarding money then that will be your current reality.

You will be powerless to change it and you will be stuck in a loop of getting more of the same thing over and over again.

So how can we change that?

I have a very simple solution that works well for me.  Every time I find myself stuck in that type of cycle, I ask myself a simple question.

What do I want?

Shut Down your Inner Critic

Is your inner voice a little bit of a bully? Does it seem like no matter how hard you try, it seems impossible to stop being negative?

Your inner critic is going to give you a hard time. Your inner critic is going to try to make you believe what society, your parents and grandparents have told you.

It takes time but your inner critic can be reprogrammed. You have to be vigilant. Focus on the positive affirmations and keep remind yourself that you are worthy.

You are. I promise.

Pull Together your Business Plan

Releasing those beliefs that you are holding onto regarding money is the most important thing that you can do to propel your business forward.

Attracting  more money will be a piece of cake when you master these simple steps.

How to Create Yours

You wouldn’t get ready to go on a trip without checking the mileage via your GPS or using a traditional map. Who leaves home without knowing where they are going?

I’m sure you, like me, take the time to plan and figure out your route ahead of time. This keeps you from getting lost without any idea where you are at.

The same goes for your business. Having an entrepreneur business plan is a crucial part of having a successful business.

Map out your plan. It may be helpful for you to go backwards. Figure out the goal you want to accomplish then work from there.

What will your business look like when you reach the level of success you are dreaming of?

What steps can you take to make sure that you get there?

These questions will allow you to make an entrepreneur business plan that you can be proud of.

Who Are You?

There are actually two individual parts inside of this question. First of all, who are you as a person? Next, who is the business you are building for?

You want to determine how you want people in general (and your potential customers) to view you as a business.

This exercise is going to help you determine how to move forward with every single piece of your business.

What Are You Offering?

Maybe when I ask that question, you think to yourself, “Well, I offer a vitamin or product or whatever it is that your business is promoting.”

What I want you to do is dig deep and really figure out what is the final outcome of what your business is actually offering.

Do you actually offer someone with more time with their families?

Does your product help someone reach their weight loss goals?

Do your customers actually get you as a coach with every single purchase?

Focus more on the benefits you are offering to your customers versus the features. Nobody likes to be sold to and matching benefits makes it easier to offer your services to others.

Who Is Your Ideal Customer?

This is something that I got stuck on when I first started my business. I had the belief that every single person on the planet was the perfect fit for what I was offering.

Not true. Narrowing down your perfect customer actually makes it easier to market your product and services.

Sit down and sketch out a customer avatar. Ask yourself who is the perfect match for what you have to offer.

Those are the people you are going to want to market and sell your product to.

How Can You Stand Out?

In the noisy world we live in today, being different can make all the difference in the success of your business. There may be hundreds of other people offering what you have already.

The truth is, nobody else is exactly like you. What do you bring to the table that sets you apart from the pack?

How can you use your special skills and talents to set yourself apart from everybody else out there?

How Will You Get Your Message Out?

This is another area where I struggled early on in my own business planning. It’s not enough to just start a business. You have to consistently get your message out there.

With your skills and what you enjoy, what would be the best channel to deliver your message?

I see time and time again that many entrepreneurs try to push a blanket message to everybody. They get stuck because they try to be on all the social media platforms at one time.

Before long, they get burnt out from trying to keep their hands inside of so many fires.

Here is my tip for you: pick one channel to begin your marketing.

Master that method and then move onto the next. This will help save your sanity. I promise!

What Is Success To You?

You should also figure out what your income goals are. That way, when you reach them, you will know that you are on track.

Figure out exactly how many products you need to sell to be successful. If you are in a service based business then how many packages do you need to sell to reach your income goals.

Knowing these numbers will help you set smaller goals. This keeps you moving forward.

What Is Your Success Timeline?

After you have taken the time to answer each one of these questions, you are ready to set a goal that will show you how long you need to spend to be successful.

Set a date that you want to reach your first profit point. Now, working back from the end of the spectrum, determine what actions you need to take each and every day.

You can break it down by the hour, day, week, month and finally year.

Sit down and really take the time to answer these questions.  Having a clear plan will allow you to know exactly what you expect from your business.
